Kanal-Pegelreglern (1) auf den Aux-Sum-
menausgang gemischt.
2) Die über den Aux-Summenausgang aus-
gekoppelten und durch das Effektgerät
geschleiften Signale können über den
Aux-Return-Eingang (13) wieder in das
Mischpult zurückgeführt werden: Dazu
den Ausgang des Effektgerätes an den
Stereo-Eingang „RETURN" (13) anschlie-
ßen (bei Anschluß eines Mono-Effekt-
gerätes nur die Buchse L verwenden).
4.5 Lautsprecher und Kopfhörer
1) Die Lautsprecher an den Stereo-Aus-
gang „SPEAKERS" (33) anschließen:
Buchse „RIGHT" für den rechten Kanal
und Buchse „LEFT" für den linken Kanal.
Die Lautsprecher müssen eine Impe-
danz von mindestens 4 Ω besitzen. 4-Ω-
Lautsprecher müssen mit einer Sinus-
Ausgangsleistung von mindestens 35 W
belastbar sein. Es können auch 8-Ω-
Lautsprecher angeschlossen werden, wo-
bei sich die Ausgangsleistung des Power
Mixers jedoch etwas verringert.
2) Die Stereo-Signalsumme sowie die an
der Buchse „PLAY" (20) angeschlossene
Bandmaschine können über einen Ste-
reo-Kopfhörer abgehört werden. Den
Kopfhörer (Impedanz ≥ 8 Ω) in die Buch-
se „PHONES" (15) stecken.
ACHTUNG: Stellen Sie bei Verwendung
eines Kopfhörers die Kopfhörerlautstärke
nie sehr hoch ein. Hohe Lautstärken kön-
nen auf Dauer das Gehör schädigen! Das

4.4 Aux connections

1) The master signal of the Aux send is rout-
ed out of the mixer at the "AUX OUT" Aux
master output (14). Another unit with line
level input, e. g. effect unit, can be con-
nected to this mono output.
The Aux send is "post" switched, i. e.
the signals of the input channels are
mixed with the Aux controls (4) after the
channel level controls (1) to the Aux mas-
ter output.
2) The signals taken off via the Aux master
output and fed through the effect unit can
be refed to the mixer via the Aux return
input (13): For this purpose, connect the
output of the effect unit to the "RETURN"
stereo input (13) (upon connecting a
mono effect unit, use jack L only).

4.5 Speakers and headphones

1) Connect the speakers to the "SPEA-
KERS" stereo output (33): The "RIGHT"
jack for the right channel and the "LEFT"
jack for the left channel.

2) The stereo master signal as well as the
tape deck connected to the "PLAY" stereo

4.6 Stromversorgung

binden, und den Netzstecker des Kabels in
eine Steckdose (230 V~/ 50 Hz) stecken.

Bedienung

1) Vor dem Einschalten des Power Mixers
sollten der Summenregler „MASTER"
(27), der Monitorregler „MONITOR/PHO-
NES" (26) und die Aux-Regler (4) auf Mi-
nimum gestellt werden, um starke Ein-
schaltgeräusche zu vermeiden.
2) Bei Verwendung von phantomgespeisten
Kondensatormikrofonen die 48-V-Phan-
tomspeisung mit dem Schalter „PHAN-
TOM" (29) auf der Geräterückseite ein-
schalten. Als Funktionsanzeige leuchtet
die gelbe LED „PHANTOM" (16).
Achtung! Sind an den Buchsen „MIC" (11)
asymmetrische Mikrofone angeschlossen,
darf die zentrale Phantomspeisung nicht
angeschaltet sein. Die Mikrofone könnten
sonst beschädigt werden.
3) Das Mischpult mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter
„POWER" (28) einschalten. Zur Anzeige
der Betriebsbereitschaft leuchtet die rote
LED „POWER" (17). Anschließend die
übrigen Audio-Geräte einschalten.

headphones. Connect the headphones
(impedance ≥ 8 Ω) to the "PHONES" out-
put (15).
CAUTION: When using headphones,
never adjust the volume of the head-
phones very high. High volumes may
damage the hearing in the long run! The
human ear gets used to high volumes
which do not seem to be that high after
some time. Therefore, do not increase
further a high volume after having got
used to it.

4.6 Power supply

Connect the mains cable to the connection
(31) and put the mains plug of the cable into
a socket (230 V~/ 50 Hz).

Operation

1) Before switching on the power mixer, the
"MASTER" control (27), the "MONITOR/
PHONES" monitor control (26) as well as
the Aux controls (4) should be set to mini-
mum, to avoid loud switching-on noise.
2) When using phantom powered condens-
or microphones, switch on the 48 V phan-
tom power by means of the "PHANTOM"
switch (29) on the rear panel of the mixer.
The yellow "PHANTOM" LED (16) lights

Caution: If unbalanced microphones are
connected to the "MIC" inputs (11), the

5.1 Live-Beschallung

5.1.1 Mischen der Tonquellen

Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme alle Klang-
regler (5 + 7), Gain-Regler (8) und Panora-
ma- bzw. Balanceregler (2 + 3) in die Mittel-
position stellen.
1) Die Umschalttasten (6) für die Stereo-
Eingangskanäle 5/6 und 7/8 entspre-
chend betätigen:
Ist ein Gerät mit Line-Pegel am jewei-
ligen Kanal angeschlossen, darf die Um-
schalttaste des Kanals nicht gedrückt
sein (Position „LINE").
Ist ein Plattenspieler mit Magnetsy-
stem am jeweiligen Kanal angeschlos-
sen, muß die Umschalttaste des Kanals
gedrückt sein (Position „PHONO").
2) Die Umschalttaste „POWER AMP" (18)
darf nicht gedrückt sein (Tastenstellung
„MIX"): Bei dieser Tastenstellung wird die
Stereo-Signalsumme auf die Endstufe
des Power Mixers geführt.
3) Mit dem Summenregler „MASTER" (27)
wird der Gesamtpegel aller Eingangska-
näle eingestellt. Den Summenregler so
weit aufdrehen, daß das Mischungsver-
hältnis der angeschlossenen Tonquellen
optimal eingestellt werden kann.
4) Die Stereo-Signalsumme kann über ei-
nen an Buchse „PHONES" (15) ange-
schlossenen Kopfhörer abgehört werden
(siehe auch Kap. 4.5 „Lautsprecher und
Kopfhörer"). Die Umschalttaste (25) darf
dann nicht gedrückt sein (Tastenstellung
„MASTER"). Mit dem Monitorregler „MO-

3) Switch on the power mixer by means of
the "POWER" on/off switch (28). The red

5.1 Live PA applications

5.1.1 Mixing of the audio sources

Before the first setting into operation, set all
tone controls (5 + 7), gain controls (8) and
panorama or balance controls (2 + 3) to the
medium position.
1) Press the selector buttons (6) for the
stereo input channels 5/6 and 7/8 corre-
spondingly:
If a unit with line level is connected to
the respective channel, the selector but-
ton of the channel must not be pressed
("LINE" position).
If a turntable with magnetic system is
connected to the respective channel, the
selector button of the channel must be
pressed ("PHONO" position).
2) The "POWER AMP" selector button (18)
must not be pressed (button is switched
to "MIX"): In this case, the stereo master
signal is transmitted to the power ampli-
fier of the power mixer.
3) The total level of all input channels is ad-
justed by means of the "MASTER" con-
trol (27). Advance the master control to
that extent, so that an optimum setting of
