Adjusting the Rotation Speed
1. Depending on the pressure applied at the ON/OFF trigger (4) the machine
operates at a variable rotation speed of between 0 and 1200 rpm's in the
first gear and between 0 and 2880 rpm's in the second gear. Light trigger
pressure results in a low rotation speed and smooth controlled starting of
the drill.
2. Select a rotation speed that avoids slowing the machine down or causing
a complete stoppage, due to overloading
3. Use the rotation speed (7) to preset the desired maximum rotation speed.
Selecting the Mechanical Gear
1. To change the gear turn the gear selector switch (2) so that the arrow
points to either position 1 or position 2.
2. The required rotation speed for drilling depends on the material being
drilled. It is best selected by a practical test.
3. If you want to use the hammering function, select generally the second
gear and the maximum possible rotation speed. The selected rotation
speed also sets a corresponding hammer-rate appropriate for good driving
advance of the drill.
4. Never change the selected gear during operation. Should the switch for
changing gear exhibit signs of resistance when attempting to rotate it, do
not use force to adjust it. In this case allow the machine to start very slowly
and then rotate the switch to the required position.
Changing between clockwise and counter clockwise direction
The switch for clockwise/counter clockwise operation (6) should only be
operated when the motor is at a complete standstill. When the ON/OFF
Trigger (4) is depressed, the switch for clockwise/counter clockwise operation
(6) is disengaged.

For clockwise operation, push the clock-
wise/counter clockwise switch all the way to
the right (for drilling, fastening of screws).
Push the clockwise/counter clockwise switch
all the way to the left (for e.g. for screw re-
moval).
