Before first Use
Remove the electric screwdriver from the packaging. Keep packaging material out
of reach of small children. There is risk of suffocation!
Tool Bit Insertion
The electric screwdriver is fitted with a quick release chuck. Insert the desired
tool bit and tighten the Chuck by hand. Do not use tools.
Screwdriver bits should always be inserted into a bit holder. Always use
screwdriver tool bits which match the screw head.
Use only sharpened High Strength Steel (HSS) drill bits for drilling in metal.
Appropriate drill bits are available though the Westfalia tool bit program.
Switching ON/OFF
To switch on the machine, press the ON/OFF trigger (2). To switch off, release
the ON/OFF trigger (2).
The ON/OFF trigger (2) can be locked in the pushed (ON) position by pressing
in the locking button (5). The locking pin releases automatically when the
ON/OFF trigger (2) is pressed again.
Adjusting the Rotation Speed
The machine operates at a variable rotation speed of between 0 and 750
rpm's, depending on the pressure applied at the ON/OFF trigger. A light trigger
pressure results in a low rotation speed and smooth controlled starting of the
drill. Select a rotation speed that avoids slowing the machine down or causing
a complete stoppage, due to overloading.
Setting the Torque
The torque is set with the ring (3). To increase the torque turn the ring counter
clockwise, 1 marks the lowest torque, the drill symbol marks the highest
torque. To reduce the torque turn the ring clockwise.
Changing between Clockwise and Counter Clockwise Direction
The toggle switch for clockwise/counter clockwise operation (4) must only be
operated when the motor is at a complete standstill. When the ON/OFF Trig-
ger (2) is depressed, the toggle switch (4) is locked.
Clockwise Rotation: For clockwise operation, push the toggle switch all the
way to the right (for drilling, fastening screws).
Counter clockwise Rotation: Push the toggle switch all the way to the left (for
e.g. for screw removal).
