Before first Use
Remove the angle drill from the packaging. Keep packaging material out of reach
of small children. There is risk of suffocation!
Tool Bit Insertion
The angle drill is fitted with a keyed drill chuck. Insert the desired tool bit and
use the supplied chuck key (8) to fasten the bit firmly in the jaws of the chuck.
Screwdriver bits should always be inserted into a bit holder. Always use
screwdriver tool bits which match the screw head.
Use only sharpened High Strength Steel (HSS) drill bits for drilling in metal.
Appropriate drill bits are available though the Westfalia tool bit program.
Switching ON/OFF
To switch on the machine, press the ON/OFF trigger (2). To switch off, release
the ON/OFF trigger (2).
The ON/OFF trigger (2) can be locked in the pushed (ON) position by pressing
in the locking pin (3). The locking pin releases automatically when the ON/OFF
trigger (2) is pressed again.
Adjusting the Rotation Speed
The machine operates at a variable rotation speed of between 0 and 1500
rpm's, depending on the pressure applied at the ON/OFF trigger. A light trigger
pressure results in a low rotation speed and smooth controlled starting of the
drill. Select a rotation speed that avoids slowing the machine down or causing
a complete stoppage, due to overloading.
Changing between clockwise and counter clockwise Direction
The switch for clockwise/counter clockwise operation (6) must only be
operated when the motor is at a complete standstill. When the ON/OFF Trig-
ger (2) is depressed, the switch for clockwise/counter clockwise operation (6)
is disengaged.

Counter clockwise Rotation:
Operating
For clockwise operation, push the clock-
wise/counter clockwise switch all the way to the
right (for drilling, fastening of screws).
Push the clockwise/counter clockwise switch all
the way to the left (for e.g. for screw removal).
