1.1 Function
The Terra Flair wheelchair cushion has an anatomically shaped rest suspension foam base (see
fig. 1, item 1) to provide extra cushioning. This distributes pressure over the largest possible sur­
face area in order to reduce pressure points and provide good postural support.
The foam base is combined with a ROHO inflatable air insert positioned at the rear of the cushion
area to provide optimal protection to the most vulnerable, bony prominences (see fig. 1, item 2).
The cushion is protected by a two-way stretch water-impermeable Dartex cover (see fig. 2).
The components of the wheelchair cushion fulfil the following functions:
