3. Transistor connector: used to check the hFE parameter of low-
power transistors
4. 10 A input: this measurement input is unfused and is authorised
for DC currents up to 10 A max. (for 10 s duration max. with a 15
min. pause between measurements)
5. V/Ohm (+) input socket (positive connection) and mA input: DC
currents up to 200 mA max. can be measured at this input (pro-
tected with a quick-blow 300mA fuse)
6. COM (-) input socket (COM or negative connection)
7. Overload indication: when "1." appears in the display, this means
overflow or range exceeded
Observe the maximum input levels.

Safety information

• Current measurements may only be carried out with this measu-
ring instrument in current circuits themselves fused at 10 A and
in which no voltages greater than 35 VDC or powers greater than
350 VA can occur. The measuring instrument may not be used in
overvoltage category III installations per IEC 664. The measuring
instrument and instrument leads are not protected against arcing
(IEC 1010-2-031, Section 13.101).
• Measurements up to 600 VDC / AC rms max., electrically isola-
ted from AC mains, overvoltage category I (CAT 1). Measure-
ments up to 300 VDC / AC rms max. permitted In overvoltage
category II (CAT II).
• Measuring instruments and accessories do not belong in the
hands of children!
• In industrial facilities the Industrial Employers' Liability Associati-
on electrical systems and equipment accident-prevention regula-
tions must be observed!
Page
• In schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help workshops, the
handling of measuring instruments must be supervised responsi-
bly by trained personnel.
• Take particular care when dealing with voltages greater than 25 V
AC or greater than 35 V DC. Even at these voltages it is possible to
receive a lethal electric shock if electrical conductors are touched.
Therefore, first of all switch off the voltage source, then connect
the measuring instrument to the points of the voltage source to
be measured, set the required measurement range on the mea-
suring instrument and afterwards switch on the voltage source.
After completion of the measurement, switch off the voltage
source and remove the measuring instrument from the circuit.
• Before each voltage measurement ensure that the measuring in-
strument is not set to the current measuring range.
