The operating point of the pump moves up and down on the lower proportional pressure
characteristic curve depending on the flow rate requirement. 
The delivery head (of the pressure) falls as the flow rate requirement decreases and increases when
the flow rate requirement rises.
The operating point of the pump moves up and down on the upper proportional pressure
characteristic curve depending on the flow rate requirement. 
The delivery head (of the pressure) falls as the flow rate requirement decreases and increases when
the flow rate requirement rises.
The operating point of the pump moves back and forth on the lower constant pressure characteristic
curve depending on the flow rate requirement. The delivery head (of the pressure) remains constant
regardless of the flow rate requirement.
