Description

Dräger CPS 7900 are gastight chemical protective suits
according to EN 943-2:2002 (1a-ET). They can be reused.
A self-contained breathing apparatus is required for air supply.
The self-contained breathing apparatus, full facepiece and
safety helmet are worn inside the chemical protective suit. For
possible combinations see chap. 2.4 on page 26.
The chemical protective suit is equipped with replaceable
gloves. Depending on the approval, different combinations of
gloves are available (see page 36).
The chemical protective suit can be equipped with socks in suit
material or boots. Socks fail to offer sufficient protection
against mechanical stresses and strains. Users must therefore
also wear suitable safety boots approved in accordance with
EN ISO 20345 or NFPA 1991:2005. Oversocks can be used to
assist in donning the boots with socks. A guard prevents the
ingress of foreign substances between socks and safety boots.
The visor is provided with a scratch proof screen on the outside
of the suit.
Dräger
The chemical protective suit features a pocket for radio units
and a push-to-talk button flap. The pocket is labeled with the
type ID.
The chemical protective suit can feature the following optional
components:
Regulating valve PT 120 L or Air-Connect:
ventilation unit for the connection of external air supply
sources with and without cooling system for the inside of
the suit.
D-Connect:
mount for the attachment of additional equipment
(e.g., thermal imaging camera, measuring instruments,
slings); can be fastened on the left or right hip.
Fall-Connect:
attachment for personal fall protection and positioning
equipment. When using a fall protection device it is not
permitted to connect an external air supply via an air
conduction hose.
Crotch strap:
to adapt the suit length
Antifog visor in the suit:
prevents the visor from fogging up.
Manometer mount below the visor:
for the attachment of the compressed air breathing
manometer in the field of vision of the protective suit
wearer.
Task force ID numbers:
for easy recognition of the task force team.
A mark with a waterproof pen is possible, but not
recommended.
2.1

Intended use

The chemical protective suit protects against gaseous, liquid,
aerosol-type and solid hazardous materials and infectious
agents. It also protects against the incorporation of radioactive
particles.
