Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device works slowly or
does not work at all.
Low suction force.
Dust escapes from the
device during cleaning.
The control lamp (1) does
not light up when the
device is connected to the
mains power.
Streaks are left when
cleaning windows or
smooth surfaces.

Possible cause
The battery is empty.
The collecting container
(4) is full.
The fi lter (15) and / or the
insert (14) is dirty.
The suction opening (5) or
nozzle is blocked.
The particles to be sucked
up are too large / heavy
to be picked up by the
device.
The device is not assem-
bled correctly.
The adapter is not inserted
in the plug socket correctly
or the barrel connector
is not inserted in the
connecting socket on the
device correctly.
The plug socket is defec-
tive.
Check the fuse in the elec-
trical distributor (fuse box).
The scraper lip is dirty.
The cleaning agent has
the wrong dosage.
Solution
Charge the battery (see
the "Charging Up the Bat-
tery" chapter).
Empty the collecting con-
tainer (see the "Cleaning
and Storage" chapter –
"Emptying and Cleaning
the Collecting Container").
Clean the fi lter (see the
"Cleaning and Storage"
chapter – "Cleaning the
Insert and Filter").
Switch off the device and
remove the blockage.
Particles which are too
large or heavy may stick to
a fi tted carpet. These must
be removed by hand.
Check whether all parts
are assembled correctly.
Correct the fi t.
Try another plug socket.
Reduce the number of
devices in the circuit.
Clean the nozzle with
scraper lip (see the "Clean-
ing and Storage" chapter).
Correct the dosage.
