5. Turn on the device by pushing the On / Off switch to the I position.
6. Select the desired frequency with the frequency regulator (1–6).
7. Move the device evenly with gentle pressure. Do not exert excessive pressure to prevent
the adapter from tilting or to avoid damaging the device.
Never let the device work on any one point for a prolonged period. This may cause
considerable heat to accumulate and cause damage to the device and workpiece.
Turn the device off at regular intervals (see step 8) and remove chips etc. from the work
area. Let the workpiece cool off before to avoid burns.
8. To turn off the device, slide the On / Off switch back to the 0 position. Wait until the device

❐ Always fi rst pull the mains plug out of the socket before you clean and / or store the device.

before you clean it.
❐ The saw blade and the scraper are sharp! Be careful when cleaning them.
❐ Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads for cleaning.
• If necessary, wipe the saw blade and the scraper off with a damp, soft cloth. Dry it off with
a soft cloth.
• If necessary, remove dirt and lint from the Velcro strip of the sanding adapter, e. g. using a
comb. The metal plate on the sanding adapter can be wiped off with a damp, soft cloth. Dry

• Keep the vents on the device free from dust, chips and other dirt to prevent the device from
overheating. Use a vacuum cleaner, scrubber or a brush for cleaning.
• Ensure that the casing is always clean. If needed, wipe the device off with a damp, soft cloth.

• The moving parts of the saw do not have to be greased.
• Check the device and accessories for damages. In the event of defects, the device and
accessories may no longer be used. Do not attempt to repair defective parts yourself. In the
