❐ Heavy protective clothing may lead to earlier onset of fatigue and a risk of heat stroke. Take
care of diffi cult work in the early morning or later in the evening when the temperature is
not too high.
❐ Before using the device for the fi rst time, familiarise yourself with the device. Be absolutely
sure that you know how to activate and deactivate the device.
❐ Do not process contaminant-laden workpieces as harmful (e. g. carcinogenic) substances
may be released when sawing. Dust from materials such as paint coats containing lead,
some types of wood, minerals and metal could be harmful to health. Coming into contact or
inhaling the dust could cause the user or nearby persons to suffer allergic reactions and / or
respiratory diseases. Certain dusts such as oak or beech dust are considered carcinogenic,
particularly when they come into contact with additives for treating wood (chromium, wood
preservative agents). Only qualifi ed professionals may process material containing asbestos.
– Make sure that your workplace is well ventilated.
– Wear a dust mask.
– Observe the regulations for the materials you are processing that are in force in your
country.
❐ Avoid coming into physical contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, stoves and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electrical shock if your body is grounded.
❐ Avoid accidentally activating the device. Ensure that the On / Off switch has been set to the
0 position before you connect the device to the power supply and before you pick it up or
carry it. Keep your fi ngers away from the On / Off switch.
❐ The scraper and the saw blade may only be mounted on the device so that the blade or teeth
are not pointing towards the bottom handle area in order to prevent hand lacerations. For
safety's sake, we recommend performing work at an angle of approx. 90° on the left side up
to approx. 90° on the right side of the device when using these two adapters.
❐ Remove the adjusting tools or screw keys before you activate the device.
❐ Always turn off the device and pull the mains plug out of the socket
– if you put away or transport the device,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before a storm,
– before you change an adapter,
– before you clean and / or store the device and accessories.
There is a risk of injury associated with inadvertently pushing the On / Off switch.
❐ Keep all body parts away from the mounted adapter before activating the device and when
using it. If the saw blade catches, do not attempt to remove the workpiece from the teeth
of the saw blade while the saw blade is running. Only remove a jammed workpiece once the
device has been deactivated and the mains plug has been pulled!
❐ To prevent injury, always hold the device fi rmly with both hands when using it.
❐ Avoid positioning your body in an abnormal manner. Make sure that you have a stable stance
and maintain balance at all times for better control the device in the event of unexpected
situations.
