❐ Do not reach under the workpiece and never hold the workpiece in your hand or over
your leg. Secure the workpiece on a stable bracket to minimise the risk of body contact, to
prevent the saw blade from jamming or losing control.
❐ Attention: There is a cutting hazard, even if the device has been deactivated! The saw
blade and the scraper are sharp! Always use suitable protective gloves to change these two
adapters.
❐ Only use the handle areas to hold the device fi rmly when carrying the device.
❐ The vibration of the device restricts the duration of use. If you experience an unpleasant
sensation (e. g. tingling) or if your hands change colour when using the device,
immediately stop working with the device! Take adequate breaks when working with
the device. Failure to take adequate breaks may result in hand arm vibration syndrome.
❐ Adjust the operating time of the device, the frequency and length of breaks to your physical
condition in order to limit the vibration load as much as possible.
❐ To considerably reduce the risks associated with vibrations, keep your body and especially
your hands warm in cold weather and move / relax your hands and fi ngers during breaks. This
promotes circulation.
❐ Warning: The actual vibration strength when using the device may differ from the values
specifi ed. This may occur for the following reasons:
– Are you using the device properly?
– Are you holding the device properly?
– Are you sawing and processing the material properly?
– Is the device in good condition?
– Are you using the correct saw blade and is it sharp enough?
❐ The device inevitably produces noise. For this reason, please take breaks as indicated and
keep the duration of use to a minimum. For safety's sake, you and all persons in the vicinity
of the activated device should wear ear protection.
❐ Attention! Burn hazard! The adapter mounted and the workpiece you processed may be
very hot after use. Let the adapter and the workpiece cool off before you touch them.
❐ Never clean a hot adapter with fl ammable liquids.
Handling the device properly
❐ Check the device for damages prior to each use. The On / Off switch and all mobile parts
must function properly and may not jam or be bent. The device may not be used if parts of
the device, the mains cord or mains plug exhibit visible damages! Do not use the device if it
had a malfunction or has fallen in water.
❐ Do not attempt to repair the device, the mains cord or mains plug yourself and do not make
any modifi cations to the device. In the event of damage, promptly contact the customer
service department or a qualifi ed workshop for your own safety.
❐ Each time before using the device, also check it for deposits and dirt, e. g. on the saw blade,
scraper or sanding adapter, and clean the device as needed (see chapter "Maintenance,
cleaning and storage").
