❐ With oscillating devices, chips etc. are not removed from the work area. This may result in
the accumulation of heat due to increased friction and consequently result in damage to the
device and material. You should therefore turn the device off periodically and remove the
chips etc. from the workpiece.
❐ Attention! Fire hazard! Never let the device operate on any one point for a prolonged
period. This may result in the accumulation of considerable heat and may even cause the
workpiece to catch fi re.
❐ Do not overload the device. Use electric tools that are designed for your work. Using the
right electric tools will facilitate your work and increase safety within the specifi ed power
range.
❐ Do not use the device if the On / Off switch is defective. A device that can no longer be
activated or deactivated is dangerous and must be repaired.
❐ Store the device out of the reach of children and animals. In order to prevent accidents,
do not allow persons to use the device, who are not familiar with it or who have not read
through these operating instructions.
❐ In the event of damages / faults, turn the device off immediately and pull the mains plug out of
the socket. Do not continue to use the device. Contact the customer service department.
❐ Never use damaged or incorrect adapters as the operating safety and optimal device
performance can no longer be assured.
❐ Keep the saw blade and the scraper sharp and clean. Replace the sand paper if it is worn
down. This ensures that working with the device is safer and easier.
❐ Always use the right size and shape of sand paper.
❐ Always keep the handle areas dry and grease-free.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Make sure that the device vents are not covered during use.
❐ Wait until the device has come to a stop before setting it down or removing it from the
workpiece. This helps to prevent the device from kicking back, injuries and damage to
property caused by rotating parts of the device.
❐ When working on a wall, ceiling or fl oor, take cables, gas and water lines into account!
Use suitable detectors to locate concealed supply lines or consult the local utility company.
Contact with electric lines may result in fi re and electrical shock. Damage to a gas line may
cause an explosion. Penetrating a water line will cause damage to property.
❐ Attention! Risk of entanglement! Never process workpieces fi tted with or containing ropes,
strings, straps, cables, wires or similar materials.
