- Do not use solvents or chemical products.
SIDE PLATES
When the X-403 GT helmet is configured without the visor, the side plates must be
assembled in its place.
NOTE: The left and right side plates are different from each other and are marked
respectively as R (Right) and L (Left) on their back.
7. Side plate assembly
To assemble the side plates, first remove the visor (see instructions above).
7.1. Place the left side plate on the corresponding side mechanism so that the inner
fastenings (C1 and C2) fit into their seats in the visor mechanism (Fig. 10).
7.2. Insert the rear fastening C1 in the corresponding seat and press the plate
against the shell, on fastening C2.
7.3. Slide the plate backwards until the visor mechanism release button (A) clicks.
7.4. Follow the same steps on the right side of the helmet.
8. Side plate disassembly
8.1. Press and hold the visor mechanism release button (A) down and slide the plate
forward until it clicks (Fig. 10).
8.2. Free the side plate inner fastenings (C1 and C2) from their seats and remove
the side plate from the visor mechanism.
8.3. Follow the same steps for the right side plate on the other side of the helmet.
8.4. Assemble the visor (see instructions above).
WARNING
- When using the helmet without the visor, always assemble the side plates.
- Do not use the helmet if the side plates have not been assembled properly.
- Do not remove the side mechanisms from the shell.
- Should any of the side mechanisms fail or be damaged, please refer to an
X-Lite authorized dealer.
VISION PROTECTION SYSTEM (VPS)
The exclusive inner VISION PROTECTION SYSTEM (VPS) is a LEXAN™ (*) polycar-
bonate moulded sunscreen with scratch-resistant/fog-resistant treatment. Very sim-
ple and practical to use. Just lower it to activate it or lift it to remove it from the field
of vision. It is useful in all sorts of situations, both on long journeys out of town and
shorter town trips.
Moreover, the innovative fastening system allows you to assemble and disassemble
the sunscreen without the need for any tools for ordinary maintenance and cleaning
operations.
