4.8 Vibrations

The power tool is low-vibration. However in
spite of this when working with the power
tool for longer periods, pay attention to signs
of blood circulation obstruction vibration-
induced raynaud's syndrome or white finger),
like tingling in the fingers. If present we rec-
ommend that you seek medical care.
The following factors extend the duration of use:
Hand protection (ideally through warm gloves)
Take many breaks.
The following factors lessen the duration of use:
low outside temperatures
Strength of the holding force (holding
firmly lessens/hinders the the circulation)
Personal tendency to poor circulation (fre-
quent tingling in the fingers and cold fingers)
4.9 Maintenance and repair
1.The power tool should be regularly main-
tained. Only execute the maintenance and
repair work yourself that is described in these
operating instructions. All other work should
only be executed by a specialized workshop.
2.For cleaning, maintenance and repair the
motor should always be shut off and the
sparkplug connector should be removed. An
injury hazard through the motor starting
unintentionally. Exception is adjusting the
carburettor and idle.
3.Only original replacement parts from the
manufacturer may be used.
4.No changes may be made to the power tool,
as this could impair the safety of the device
and cause a hazard of accident or injury!
5.The power tool may not be maintained, re-
paired, or stored in the vicinity of open flame.
6.Regularly check the fuel tank cap for leaks.
7.Only use sparkplugs that are problem-free and
that are recommended by the manufacturer.
8.Check the ignition cable for problem-free
condition and intact insulation. If the
sparkplug is unscrewed or the ignition cable is
removed from the socket, then only move the
device if the stop switch is placed on " 0 /
stop"). A fire hazard exists through sparking!
9.Regularly check the noise suppressor for
problem-free condition. Do not touch the
noise suppressor, as long as is still hot.

5. Assembly/disassembly

5.1 Blower assembly (440)

Slide the blower tube (1) with the groove (2) over the
lug (3) of the blower casing. Insure that the wide groove
is guided over the large lug and the small groove is over
the small lug. Turn the blower tube 45º in the direction
of the arrow fold the catch (4) forwards.

The blower nozzle (2) has two length positions. Slide all
the way to the lug in pos. A (long), or in pos. B (short) on
the blower and turn firmly in the direction of the arrow.
To install the optional flat spray nozzle, which is part of
the standard delivery, push it onto the blower nozzle so,
that the marker arrows face each other. Secure the
connection by rotating the flat spray nozzle.

5.2 Removing Blower tube (440)

Fold the catch (1) upward. Turn the blower
tube (2) 45º in the direction of the arrow and
then pull it out of the blower (3) casing.
5.3 Vacuum shredder assembly (441)
An anti-static wire is fitted to the handle of
the vacuum shredder, to prevent electric
shocks (static) from the handle.
