7.8 recharging the tap-on foot pedal

Ensure the foot pedal power is ON. With the unit ON, plug the
Auxiliary foot pedal cable into the foot pedal and the USB port
on the front of the unit. Allow to charge for up to 4 hours for a full
battery charge.
The unit will operate with the foot pedal while the battery is
charging.

7.9 Powering on/off the tap-on foot pedal

• The foot pedal is packaged with the power OFF. The foot pedal
must be turned on prior to use. (The foot pedal will not charge in
the OFF state).
• The Power button is used to disconnect the battery from the
circuitry for shipping purposes.
• The Power button must be pressed and held for 4 seconds to
disconnect the battery. Likewise the Power button must be
pressed and held for 4 seconds to reconnect the battery.
• If the Foot Pedal power is OFF, pressing the Sync button or trying
to Sync with the Scaler will not turn the Foot Pedal on.
