- Seat the child to the child car seat.
- Put the lock tongues off the rubber slings on the cover.
- Lead the shoulder safety belts (H) over the child' s shoulders
(be careful not to twist the belts).
- Join both the lock tongues and snap them shut in the safety
belt lock (G) with an audible "click".
- Pull the belts out until they are long enough (see Fig. 4. 3.) to
fit the child' s body tightly.
To secure your child's safety, check if...
- the safety belts of the child car seat are fitted exactly to the
child' s body without limiting the child; - the shoulder safety
belts are properly adjusted;
- the shoulder pads fit properly to the body;
- the safety belts are not twisted;
- the lock' s tongues are snapped shut in the safety belt lock.
The function of the safety belt lock significantly contribu-
tes to safety. The defects of the safety belt lock's function
are mostly caused by impurities.
Functional defects of the belt lock
- When the red "PRESS" button is pushed, the lock' s tongues
are ejected in a slowing down speed.
- The lock' s tongues would not snap shut any more (they are
re-ejected).
- The lock' s tongues would snap shut without audible "click".
- The insertion of the lock tongues is hampered (in a dough
like manner).
- It is possible to open the safety belt lock only by applying
considerable force.
Measures to eliminate defects
1/ Disassemble the belt
- Open the belt lock (G) by pushing the red „PRESS" button.
- Release the belts (see paragraph 6. 1.).
2/ Wash out the belt lock (G)
- Put the belt lock (G) to warm water for at least 1 hour (it is
possible to add detergent to the water). Then rinse the belt
lock and let it dry well.
