Intended use
The monitor has two AV inputs and an analogue VGA input and is intended to be used, for example,
in combination with surveillance cameras. The product can be operated via the keys on the moni-
tor and an IR remote control included in the delivery. The monitor works on an operating voltage of
12 V/DC; the enclosed wall plug transformer can be used to supply the power.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise to
hazards such as short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified
or converted!

Safety instructions
T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these
safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
N or do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper
use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will
be null and void.
Dear customer,
t hese safety instructions are not only to protect the product but also for your own
safety and that of other people. Therefore, please read this chapter very carefully be-
fore using the product for the first time!
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for
safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not open/disassemble! It does not contain any
internal parts that need to be adjusted or maintained by you.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. It should be
operated out of the reach of children.
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II. Only use a
standard power socket as the voltage source (see section "Technical Data").
• The power socket where the AC adapter is plugged in must be easily accessible.
• The product is only intended for use in dry indoor rooms; it must not get damp or wet;
never touch it with wet hands! Wall plug transformers have the potential to cause a
fatal electric shock!
Protect the product from direct solar radiation, strong heat, cold, dust and dirt, vi-
brations or mechanical loads. Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by
impacts, blows or by falling from a low height.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g., during transport), con-
densation may be produced.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before you connect it to the mains volt-
age. This may take several hours. Otherwise, there is lethal danger due to an electric
shock!
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works
- the device has been stored under adverse conditions.
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from
electric shock!
Switch off the mains voltage to all poles of the mains socket to which the wall plug
transformer is connected (e.g. switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or re-
move the safety fuse, then switch off at the RCD protective switch).
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of the
damaged wall plug transformer in an environmental-friendly way, do not use it any
more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifications.
• Disconnect the power supply from the product, if it is not to be used for a while (e.g.
for storage).
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Li-
ability Insurance Associations for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to
be observed.
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops the operation of the
product is to be supervised by trained employees.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
General battery instructions
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by
children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• If the product is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old batteries can
leak and damage the product.
Inserting batteries into the IR remote control, changing batteries
• To insert or replace the battery, remove the battery compartment on the bottom of the IR remote
control. Then insert a battery, paying attention to the correct polarity (see the "Technical Data"
section, for the type).
• Push the battery compartment, with the battery, back into the IR remote control, until the battery
compartment clicks into place.
• The battery needs replacing if the range of the IR remote control decreases or the monitor no
longer reacts to the IR remote control.

Installation

Fasten the bracket provided to the rear of the monitor. Using the bracket, the monitor can be
mounted on different surfaces; even installation underneath a shelf, or on the wall, is possible.
The bracket can be fixed to the surface using 2 screws. Depending on the surface, use
appropriate screws and wall plugs.
The adhesive surface on the bottom of the bracket may only be used if the monitor is to
be fixed, for example, on a table. The adhesive surface is not suitable for mounting the
monitor on a wall, a room ceiling, or similar surfaces.
Make sure when screwing into place or when drilling holes that cables or wires are not
damaged.
Connection
The monitor has a permanently attached connection cable with the following input connectors:
• AV Input 1
Yellow BNC jack "VIDEO1 IN" for analogue video signals
White RCA jack "AUDIO1 IN" for analogue mono audio signal
• AV Input 2
Yellow BNC jack "VIDEO2 IN" for analogue video signals
White RCA jack "AUDIO2 IN" for analogue mono audio signals
• VGA Input
Black, 15-pin VGA connector, for analogue VGA video signal
• Power connector
Low-voltage jack, 5.5/2.1 mm, middle contact plus/+, 12 V/DC, 1.25 A
Connect the monitor to the devices you have, e.g. a surveillance camera or a DVR. Then, connect
the monitor's power supply to the low-voltage plug on the enclosed wall plug transformer.
Plug the wall plug transformer into a standard mains socket.
