OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Clock Display in 12/24-Hour Format
When the display shows the time, press the button
display in 12 or 24 hour format. In 12 hour format, the time is only displayed with 12
hours. To differentiate between the first and the second half of the day, the time is pre-
fixed with „AM" during the first half of the day and „PM" during the second half.
Alarm function
With activated alarm function, a beep sounds at the set alarm time and the display is illu-
minated with alternating colours. You can stop the alarm by touching the display. If the
alarm is not stopped by touching the display, the clock stops the alarm automatically
after two minutes. The alarm will sound the next day again at the time set.
Setting the alarm time
• Briefly press the button ALARM when the table clock shows the time. The devices
switches to the display of the alarm time and the symbol „AL" appears on the bottom
of the display.
• Press the button SET; the device switches to alarm setup mode. The display for the
alarm hour blinks.
• You can set the desired alarm time with the button
• Press SET for confirmation. The table clock changes to the minute setting and the
minute display blinks.
• You can set the desired alarm minute with the button
• For terminating the setting process, press the button SET. The alarm time is set now and
the alarm function activated; the display shows the alarm clock icon
Briefly touch the display to switch from the display of the alarm time to the display of the
current time.
If you want to check the alarm time, briefly press the button ALARM; the table clock
now shows the set alarm time.
Activating / deactivating the alarm function
To deactivate the alarm function, briefly press the button ALARM; the alarm time is dis-
played. Then press and hold the button ALARM for approx. 2 seconds. The alarm clock
icon disappears from the display
To activate the alarm function, briefly press the button ALARM; the alarm time is dis-
played. Then press and hold the button ALARM for approx. 2 seconds. The alarm clock
icon appears on the display
. The alarm is activated and sounds at the set alarm time.
Temperature function
If necessary, touch the display several times until the display shows the current room
temperature.
With fast temperature changes, the table clock needs a certain time to mea-
sure the current value.
Temperature display in °C (degrees Celsius) or ° F (degrees Fahrenheit):
With the button

, you switch the display format for the room temperature from
degrees Celsius (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F).
Date function
If necessary, touch the display several times until the date is displayed.
Meaning of the weekday display:
SU = Sunday
TH = Thursday
MO = Monday
FR= Friday
TU = Tuesday
SA = Saturday
WE = Wednesday
Setting the date:
•Keep the SET button on the bottom of the table clock depressed until the year display
starts to blink. Now the clock is in setup mode.
•You can set the year with the button
•Press SET for confirmation. The month display blinks.
•You can set the month with the button
•Press SET for confirmation. The day display blinks.
•You can set the day with the button
•For terminating the setting process, press the button SET.
The week day does not have to be set, the clock determines it automatical-
ly.
If you press the button

during the setup process, it accelerates.
If no button is pressed, the device leaves setup mode automatically after a short time and
saves the setting.

Timer function
The timer function performs a countdown of the previously set timer time to zero. A beep
sounds when the timer reaches zero.
If necessary, touch the display several times until the timer is displayed.
Setting the timer time:
• Press the SET button on the bottom of the table clock until the minute display starts to
blink.
• You can set the timer minutes with the button
• Press SET for confirmation. The seconds display blinks.
• You can set the timer seconds with the button
• For terminating the setting process, press the button SET.
You can set the timer time from one second to 180 minutes 59 seconds.
The default setting for the timer is 60 minutes.
Starting/stopping the timer
You can start the countdown with the button

Once the countdown reaches zero, a beep sounds, which you can stop by touching the
display. Then the set timer time appears again.

Turning the display illumination off
The buttonLIGHT On/Off is located on the bottom of the table clock. This switch serves
to turn the display illumination, which activates automatically when the display is
touched, on and off.
In the switch position „On", the display is illuminated when touched.
In the switch position „Off", the display is no longer illuminated when touched.
RESET (reset to factory settings)
In case of electrostatic discharge or after a battery change, it may be possible that the
clock malfunctions (e.g. strange characters on the display, the time runs too fast, etc.).
In this case, perform a RESET (reset to factory settings). Press the RESET button on the
bottom of the clock with a pointed object, e.g. a toothpick. The display goes off briefly
and then reappears. All data that was previously set is lost and must be reset.
Maintenance, Cleaning and Service Instructions
The table clock is maintenance-free apart from changing the battery, therefore you
should never open it. If you do open it, the warranty will lapse. The outside of the device
should be cleaned with a clean dry cloth or brush only. Do not use abrasive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions which could damage the housing or the display or impair
operation.
Disposal
Dispose of the device in accordance with the valid statutory regulations once it
has become unusable.
Disposal of spent batteries/rechargeable batteries
You as the consumer are legally obligated (battery ordinance) to return all
spent batteries and accumulators; disposal in the household waste is
prohibited. Batteries/accumulators containing hazardous substances are
marked with symbols indicating that it is prohibited to dispose of these in the
regular household waste. The codes for the heavy metals concerned are: Cd =
cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. You can return flat batteries/rechargea-
ble batteries free of charge to the collection points in your community, our bran-
ches or anywhere else where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to the
protection of the environment!
