OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Setting the time alarm
Briefly press the button ALARM when the table clock is in normal mode. The devices
switches to the display of the alarm time and the symbol „AL" appears on the bottom of
the display. Press and keep the button ALARM depressed for 3 seconds; the device
changes to the alarm setup mode. The display for the month blinks.
By briefly pressing the button ALARM, you can call up the alarm for setting and also
leave the setup mode again. Only the blinking value can be changed. The alarm can
sound daily or on a specific date. Therefore also read the following chapter „Daily or
date-related alarm".
The alarm setting sequence is:

If you keep the button 12/24 HR
process speeds up.
If no button is pressed, the device exits the setting mode automatically after
a moment.
By briefly pressing the button CLOCK, the device switches from alarm display to normal
display.
Daily or date-related alarm:
Depending on the alarm settings for the month and the day, the alarm sounds daily or
only once a year on a specific date.
If you want to set the daily alarm, set the month and the day to „
alarm time.
If the alarm is only supposed to be triggered on a certain date, e.g. to remind you of a
birth date, set the desired month, the day and then the alarm time.
Activating/deactivating the alarm function and the snooze
If the button ALARM ON/OFF is pressed once, the display shows the symbol ; the
alarm is activated.
If the button is pressed a second time, the alarm is activated with
the SNOOZE function. The symbols Zz and
ON/OFF is pressed a third time, the alarm function is off and both symbols go off.
Alarm without alarm repeat:
If the alarm function has been activated, the alarm goes off at the time set. You stop the
alarm by pressing the button SNOOZE/LIGHT or ALARM ON/OFF or CLOCK. If no
button is pressed, the device stops the alarm automatically after one minute.
Alarm with alarm repeat (SNOOZE)
The snooze function can only be used if it was previously activated (see
chapter „Activate/deactivate alarm function and snooze").
If you press the button SNOOZE/LIGHT while the alarm is sounding, it stops for 5 min-
utes. The display indicates the symbol „Zz". The alarm resounds after five minutes.
In order to stop the snooze function, press the button ALARM ON/OFF while the alarm
sounds; then the alarm stops and starts again on the next day.
Clock Display in the 12/24-Hour Format
Press the button 12/24HR
to change between the display of the time in 12 or 24
hour format. In 12 hour format, the time is only displayed with 12 hours. To differenti-
ate between the first and the second half of the day, the time is prefixed with „AM" dur-
ing the first half of the day and „PM" during the second half.
Temperature display in °C or °F
With the button °C/°F
, you switch the display format for the interior temperature
from degrees Celsius (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F).
Display Illumination
The display illumination changes its colour at intervals.
You have the option to turn the display illumination on permanently or only briefly.
There is a corresponding selection switch in the battery compartment for this purpose:
LIGHT AUTO OFF / LIGHT ON.
Switch position "LIGHT AUTO OFF":
The display illumination is activated by pressing the button SNOOZE/LIGHT. The illu-
mination goes off automatically after approx. 30 seconds.
The display illumination is also activated for approx. 30 seconds while the alarm
sounds.
Switch position „LIGHT ON":
The display illumination is completely activated. In this position, we recommend operat-
ing the table clock with a power pack to reduce battery consumption (see the chapter
„External voltage supply").

External voltage supply
The display illumination of the table clock can also be operated with a power
pack (not included in the delivery). Plug the low-voltage plug of the power
pack into the DC 4.5V jack on the back of the clock.
Now the power pack supplies only the display, batteries must be
inserted to operate the clock.
Suitable power pack :
• Output voltage: 4.5V DC
• Output current: min. 100 mA
• Polarity: The inner contact of the low-voltage plug must be negative and the
outer contact positive.
• Low-voltage plug size: 3.5 mm exterior dimension and 1.35 mm interior
dimension.
Temperature and air humidity
The temperature display on the top right shows the current room temperature in a range
between -9.9°C and 70°C.
The air humidity display on the bottom right shows the relative air humidity in a range
from 20% to 90%. If the air humidity falls below 20%, the display shows „LO".

RESET
In case of electrostatic discharge or after a battery change, it may be possible that the
clock malfunctions (e.g. strange characters on the display). In this case, perform a RESET
(reset to factory settings). Press the RESET button with a pointed object, e.g. a tooth-
pick. The display goes off briefly and then reappears.
Maintenance, Cleaning and Service Instructions
The device is maintenance-free. For this reason you should never open it. If you do open
it, the warranty will lapse. The outside of the device should be cleaned with a clean dry
cloth or brush only. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or chemical solutions which
could damage the housing or impair operation.
Disposal
When the product has become unusable, you should dispose of it in accor-
dance with the current statutory regulations.
Disposal of flat batteries/accumulators
You as the consumer are legally obligated (battery ordinance) to return all
spent batteries and accumulators; disposal in the household waste is prohi-
bited. Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances
are marked with symbols indicating that disposal in the household waste is
prohibited. The heavy metals concerned are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury,
Pb = lead. You can return flat batteries/rechargeable batteries free of char-
ge to the collection points in your community, our branches or anywhere else
where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil the statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of
our environment.
