8.3 HOW TO REPLACE THE TURBINE MAIN
MOTOR
This is a service operation which should be performed
by qualified people in case of failure of the main turbine
motor.
DISCONNECT the Cyclone from main power
o
supply by turning the main switch (U) [TAV.D-
Fig.2] into "0" position and disconnect the
plug of the power cord from main powersupply
Follow the steps of paragraph 8.1 and 8.2
After the last step of paragraph 8.2 remove main
o
turbine metal shaft (1) by loosing the fixing screw
(2) on the same turbine shaft
Remove the front plastic enclosure (S)
o
[TAV.E-Fig.2] by opening its locks with the
standard key
Remove rear door (2) and plastic panel (1) both
o
located on the right side of the machine
Remove 4 fixing bolts (1) and remove the
o
electrical motor from the turbine body
Open the square shaped aluminium cover
o
located on the motor and disconnect wires from
the electrical motor
IMPORTANT: BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE
WIRES FROM THE ELECTRICAL MOTOR TAKE A
WRITTEN NOTE OF THE WIRING CONNECTIONS
(DELTA OR Y) AND OF THE SEQUENCE OF THE
THREE PHASES R-S-T WIRES OF THE MOTOR
Install new motor by following the same electrical
o
connection and follow all steps backward to re-
assemble the machine
