Installation and start-up
NOTE
Fully charge the rechargeable battery
before using it for the first time. The re-
chargeable battery can be charged in
any charge status. Interrupting charging
does not damage the rechargeable bat-
tery.
CAUTION!
Danger of fire during charging!
The charger heats up when charging.
There is a danger of fire if the charger is
placed on an inflammable surface and is
not adequately ventilated.
Always use the charger on a non-in-
flammable surface and in a non-
combustible environment.
1. Connect the rechargeable battery (01/1) and
charging unit (01/2), as well as the charging
unit to the mains voltage (01/3), as shown in
the figure. The charging process begins. The
LED on the charging unit lights green, the
charge status is displayed on the recharge-
able battery.
2. Observe the charge status displays on the re-
chargeable battery. The charging process
takes approx. 2.5 hours until fully charged.
The charging process ends automatically
when the rechargeable battery is fully
charged.
3. Disconnect the rechargeable battery from the
charger (01/A) and the charger from the
mains voltage (01/B).

Inserting and pulling out the
rechargeable battery (02)
Inserting the rechargeable battery (02/a)
1. Push the rechargeable battery (02/1) into the
rechargeable battery slot (02/2) until it engag-
es.
Pulling out the rechargeable battery (02/b)
1. Press and hold the unlock button (02/3) on
the rechargeable battery (02/1).
2. Pull out the rechargeable battery (02/1).

Installing the hand grip (03)

1. Place the bracket (03/2) onto the clamp
(03/6).
2. Place the hand grip (03/1) onto the bracket
(03/2).

3. Position the protective bracket (03/4) be-
tween the hand grip (03/1) and appliance.
4. Secure the hand grip and protective bracket
with the bolt (03/3), and tighten with the nut
(03/5).

Connecting/disconnecting the
attachment and basic appliance (04)
Only use a maximum of one extension tube.
Connect the attachment and extension tube if
necessary.
1. Align the coupling (04/1) and coupling coun-
terpart (04/2) with each other so that the re-
cess (04/4) and journal (04/3) are facing one
another.
2. Slide the coupling (04/1) and coupling coun-
terpart (04/2) inside each other up to the end
stop (04/a).
3. Push the handle piece (04/5) over the cou-
pling counterpart (04/2) up to the end stop.
4. Turn (04/c) the handle piece up to the stop in
the direction of the closed lock (04/6).
Separate the appliances and any extension
pipe from each other
1. Turn (04/d) the handle piece (04/5) towards
the open lock (04/7) to the end.
2. Pull apart (04/b) the coupling (04/1) and cou-
pling counterpart (04/2).

Attaching the carrying belt to the basic
appliance (05)
The carrying belt provided with your attachment
transfers the load of the attachment, extension
tube and basic appliance to your upper body.
1. Hang the carrying belt (05/1) over your shoul-
der.
2. Hook the snap hook (05/2) of the carrying
belt (05/1) into the eye (05/3) on the basic
appliance.
3. Adjust the length of the carrying belt by mov-
ing the buckle (05/4) on the carrying belt
(05/1) so that the whole appliance is comfort-
able to carry.
4. Carry out a number of work movements with
the appliance switched off to test the length
of the carrying belt. Adjust the length of the
carrying belt if necessary.
