10. Basic Functions

a) Switching On/Off
Briefly push the button „
off.
When deactivating, only the display as such is switched off. The screen/DVR, however, continu-
es to work internally. A current recording (manually, automatically/time-controlled or by motion
detection) is not interrupted!
The LED (8) has the following functions:
• LED is lit red permanently: Standby/display is switched off
• LED is permanently lit blue: Screen/DVR ready for operation
• LED flashes red: Recording runs
• LED flashes blue: Playback runs

b) Calling/Leaving OSD Menu

Briefly push the button „MENU/ESC" on the screen/DVR or the button „MENU" on the IR remote control.
Then the main menu is displayed.
To leave the OSD menu, also briefly push the button „MENU/ESC" on the screen/DVR or the button „MENU"
on the IR remote control (several times if required, if the screen/DVR is in a submenu).

c) Switching Camera Channel, Auto Mode

• Select the camera channel „CH1" or „CH2" to be displayed by briefly pushing the button „CHANNEL/
AUTO" on the screen/DVR or the button „CH1" or „CH2" on the IR remote control.
The upper left of the display shows the respective active channel number each.
If a recording is currently underway, the camera channel cannot be switched.
• If both channels are to be automatically displayed alternatingly on the display, the auto mode can be
used for this.
Switch on auto mode:
Keep the button „CHANNEL/AUTO" pushed for a second at the screen/DVR or push the button „AUTO"
briefly on the IR remote control. At the upper left of the channel umber, „AUTO" appears. The display
now alternatingly shows the two camera channels (basic setting 5 seconds, can be changed in the OSD
menu).
Switch on auto mode:
Briefly push the button „CHANNEL/AUTO" on the screen/DVR or push the button „CH1" or „CH2" on the
IR remote control. The display „AUTO" disappears again.
If a recording is currently underway, auto mode cannot be activated.
