5. Safety instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure
to observe these safety instructions! Liability for any and all con-
sequential damage is excluded!
We do accept any liability for personal injury or damage to pro-
perty caused by incorrect handling or non-observance of the
safety instructions. Under these circumstances, any warranty
expires.
• The product must not be modified or converted, as not only
the CE approval will become void but also the warranty.
• The product should not be exposed to extreme temperatures,
humidity, direct sunlight, intense vibration or heavy mechanical
strain.
• If the radio is used in connection with other components (e.g.
CD or MP3 player), the operating instructions and safety
instructions of the connected components must also be
observed closely.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g.
during transport), condensation water may be created. This
could damage the product. There is also the deadly peril of an
electric shock. Therefore, you should allow the product to
warm up to room temperature before using it or connecting
the radio to a mains outlet.
• Electronic devices are no toys and should be kept out of the
reach of children!
• Never operate the product when it is covered. Always ensure
proper ventilation!
• Please contact qualified personnel if you are unsure concer-
ning the safety or the correct use of the product.
• To avoid interferences, no devices with strong electric fields
such as e.g. mobile phones, radio devices, electric engines etc.
must be in the proximity of the product.
