compliance with the safety instructions. Any warranty claim will be invalid in such cases!
Dear customer, The safety instructions and danger warnings below are not only for the protection of the device but also to
protect your well being. Please read through the following points attentively:
For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorized conversion and/or modifi cations to the product are
not permitted.
The appliance has been constructed according to protection class II. As a source of voltage only a correct mains
socket (100 - 240V~, 50/60Hz) of the mains supply system should be used.
Please make sure that you operate the device properly. Please follow the operating instructions carefully in doing so.
Make sure the mains cable is not squashed, bent, damaged through sharp edges or otherwise subjected to mechanical strain.
Avoid excess thermal stress on the mains cable through excess heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. This may damage
the mains cable. A damaged power cord can result in a life-threatening electric shock.
If the device or its connecting cable are damaged, do not touch them. First of all, de-energize the corresponding mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit-breaker) and afterwards carefully pull the mains plug from the socket. Do not operate the device
further. Take it to a specialist workshop.
In order to completely separate the device from the electricity net, you have to pull the mains plug out of the wall socket. It is not
suffi cient to turn the device off with the on/off switch.
This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children do not understand how dangerous electrical devices can be.
Never position vessels or containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vases or plants, on top of the product or in its immediate
surroundings. Liquids could seep into the interior of the housing and in doing so impair the electrical safety of the device. There
is furthermore a high risk of fi re or of a lifethreatening electric shock. If this is the case, de-energize the respective socket (e.g.
switch off circuit breaker) and only then pull the plug-in mains unit from the socket. Disconnect all cables from the device.
Afterwards, the product must no longer be used, bring it to a specialist workshop.
Do not operate the device close to water, e.g. in bathrooms or near swimming pools or on wet fl oors etc.
Never touch the mains plug of the device with wet or damp hands. There is a risk of a fatal electric shock.
Ensure adequate ventilation of the device during operation. Do not cover the ventilation openings with magazines, blankets,
curtains or similar. Keep a minimum distance of approx. 15 cm to other devices.
Do not expose the device to extremely high temperatures, dripping or spraying water, strong vibration, or great mechanical
strains.
Do not place open fl ames such as burning candles on the device.
If you have doubts about how the equipment should operate or about how to safely connect it, consult a trained technician.
Never leave the device on without supervision.
Only use the appliance in a moderate climate, and avoid a tropical environment.
Do not leave packing materials unattended. These may become dangerous playing material for children.
You should also heed the additional safety instructions in each chapter of this instruction.
Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to this device.
