Intended use
The shower radio is used to receive radio transmissions in the MW and VHF range and
to display the time and temperature. The product also has an alarm function.
This device is protected against sprayed water. However, avoid direct contact with
water jets, e.g. inside a shower stall.
This product is only battery-operated. The correct battery type is specified in the
"Technical Data" section.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and will
expose you to additional risks, such as short circuits, fire, electrical shocks etc.
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt, and the housing must not be opened.

Safety Instructions
T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any re-
sulting damage.
W e do not assume any liability for material damage and personal injury
caused by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In
such cases, the warranty will be null and void.
I n the operating manual, an exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates
important instructions.
T he "arrow" symbol indicates special information and advice on operating
the device.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product
is not permitted.
• Extra care should be taken when using the device for the first time. Please follow
these operating instructions when doing so.
• Use only batteries to supply the power.
• Do not expose the product to high temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy me-
chanical loads.
• The product is indeed protected against sprayed water, but it is not completely wa-
terproof. Never submerge it in water or point water jets directly onto the device.
• Handle the product with care. The product can be damaged if crushed, struck or
dropped, even from a low height.
• Check the device occasionally for damage. Should the device show any sign of
damage, do not use it anymore. Disconnect the device from the power supply (re-
move the batteries) and take it to a specialised service centre.
• Do not place open flames such as burning candles on the device or in its immediate
vicinity.
• Use the device only in temperate climate regions and not in tropical ones.
• This product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Use the prod-
uct only out of the reach of children; the product contains parts and batteries that
can be swallowed.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything
for children.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to connect
it safely, consult a trained technician.
• Please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this
manual.

Inserting/Replacing the batteries
Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
K eep them out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around.
There is the risk that the batteries may be swallowed by children or pets. If
they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
Remove the batteries when the device is not in use for long periods of time.
L eaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact
with the skin. You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
M ake sure that batteries are not short-circuited or thrown into a fire. Do
not attempt to recharge the batteries. There is a risk of explosion. Charge
rechargeable batteries intended for that use only. Use an appropriate bat-
tery charger.
D o not use batteries with a different levels of charge, or from different
manufacturers, at the same time.
• Open the battery compartment (10) on the back of the device by opening the screw
joint.
• For the radio function, insert two new 1.5V button cells (AA) in the battery compart-
ment (10), paying attention to the polarity. The correct polarity is shown on the bot-
tom of the battery compartment (10).
• Insert the provided 1.5 V button cells AG13 for the clock and the thermometer in the
corresponding recesses in the battery compartment, likewise paying attention to
the polarity.
The positive pole on the button cells must point upwards. These button cells may
already be inserted and provided with an insulation pad that protects the batteries
against discharge. In this case, remove this insulation pad to activate the button
cells.
• Close the battery compartment (10) again by replacing the cover and screwing it
shut again.
• If the playback sound becomes quieter, or the device no longer works, the batteries
for the radio function are flat and have to be replaced as described above.
• If the display contrast fades or the display no longer works, please replace the two
button cells as described above.
Clock function
If no buttons are pushed for approx. 10 seconds during the setting process-
es, the device exits the setting mode and automatically accepts the settings.
If you hold the SET button (6) depressed during the setting process, the value
to be set adjusts continually.
