c) Via the USB car adapter
The USB car adapter heats up during use. Make sure it is well ventilated and do not
cover the USB car adapter during use.
Do not short‑circuit the USB output.
Make sure the connection is correct. If the USB power adapter is incorrectly plugged in,
it may overheat or it may result in an electric shock or a fire.
Never leave the USB car adapter unattended during use.
1. Make sure that the slide switch on the front of the LED spotlight is switched all the way to the left.
2. Connect the USB DC cable's USB plug to the appropriate connection on the USB car adapter.
3. Remove the cover from the back of the LED spotlight.
4. Connect the USB DC cable's round plug to the connection marked Charger.
5. Plug the USB car adapter into a vehicle's on-board power outlet. The power indicator on the USB car
adapter lights up to indicate the adapter is operational.
6. The internal rechargeable battery is now charging. A red LED on the front of the LED spotlight lights up
during charging. A green LED on the front of the LED spotlight lights up when the internal rechargeable
battery is completely charged.
7. The internal rechargeable battery takes approx. 4 hours to charge completely.
8. Disconnect the USB car adapter from the vehicle's on-board power outlet and from the LED spotlight
when charging is complete.
9. Replace the cover on the back of the LED spotlight.
You can operate the USB car adapter while the engine is both on or off. However, avoid starting
the engine while the USB car adapter is connected as this cuts power to the on-board power
outlet briefly (this may not apply to all vehicle models). If the engine is switched off, drawing
current over a longer period of time will discharge the vehicle battery.
Operating the LED spotlight
The LED spotlight is suitable for use in unprotected outdoor areas. Nevertheless, it may
never be operated in or under water.
Attention, LED light:
• Do not look directly into the LED light!
• Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Carry the LED spotlight by the handle or place it on a stable, even, horizontal and non-slip surface.
• You can also hang up the LED spotlight using a suitable hook. Should you choose to do so, make sure
the LED spotlight cannot fall.
• The LED spotlight features 5 brightness levels that can be selected using the slide switch on the front of
the device.
• When the switch is all the way to the left, the LED spotlight is switched off.
• When the switch is all the way to the right, the LED spotlight is switched on at the highest brightness level.
• The higher the brightness level, the shorter the operating time.

Charging an external device via the LED spotlight
1. Remove the cover from the back of the LED spotlight.
2. Connect an external device to the USB connection marked with a mobile telephone symbol. Use the
charging cable of the device you wish to charge. You may also use the USB DC cable if your device
has an appropriate socket. Make sure that your device meets the product's power requirements (see
technical data).
3. Monitor the charging process. Unplug the device when charging is complete.
4. Replace the cover on the back of the LED spotlight.

Maintenance and cleaning

• Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as such would damage the housing
(discolorations).
• Never point a jet of water i.e. from a high-pressure cleaner at the LED spotlight or the solar panel as doing
so may cause damage to the sealing!
• Besides occasional cleaning, the device is maintenance-free.
• Before cleaning, turn off the LED spotlight and let it cool down sufficiently.
• Use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the housing. For more stubborn dirt, slightly moisten the cloth with
a little lukewarm water.
• Do not apply too much force when cleaning the housing or light emitting aperture in order to avoid
scratching.
• Regularly remove any dust from the solar panel, as otherwise the charging current will be reduced.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
The built-in rechargeable battery must be disposed of by a specialist.
b) Rechargeable batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used rechargeable batteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores
or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
