Below are a few explanations of the symbols and what they mean:
If "sunny" is displayed at night, this means a starlit night.
The display does not represent the current weather conditions but it is a forecast of the next 12 to 24 hours.
The calculation of the weather forecast based on the atmospheric pressure results only in a maximum accuracy
of about 70%. Therefore, the weather may be completely different on the next day. As the measured atmospheric
pressure is valid only for a range of approx. 50 km, the weather may change quickly. This is especially true in hilly or
mountainous locations. Therefore, don't rely on the weather forecast from the weather station, obtain local information
should you wish to go mounting hiking, for example.
If the atmospheric pressure fl uctuates suddenly or severely, the animated images will refresh to indicate the weather
change. If the animated symbols do not change, either the atmospheric pressure has not changed or the change oc-
curred so gradually that it was not registered by the weather station.
If a "Sunny" or "Rainy" weather forecast appears, the display will not change even if the weather improves ("Sun"
display) or deteriorates ("Rain" display). This is because the animated images are already showing the two extreme
situations.
The animated images indicate a weather change for the better or worse, which does not have to mean sun or rain,
however, as indicated by the animated images.
For example, if the current weather is cloudy and rain is displayed, this does not mean that the device is malfunction-
ing. It means that the atmospheric pressure has dropped and a worse weather condition, not necessarily rain, can
be expected.
After fi tting the batteries for the fi rst time, you should ignore the weather forecasts for the fi rst 12 to 24 hours. This
is because the weather station fi rst has to collect atmospheric pressure data during this period at a constant height
above sea level to be able to make a more exact forecast.
If you take the weather station to a place that is signifi cantly lower or higher than the original site (e.g. from the ground
fl oor to the top stories of a building), the weather station may interpret this as a weather change.
