Installation
If in any doubt, rather than mounting, connecting or installing the equipment
yourself, contact a qualifi ed technician.
The outdoor unit is designed for surface mounting. When deciding where to
install the outdoor monitor, choose a position that is well protected against
the elements, particularly rain. The camera (B3) should face upwards. Refer
to the information about the optimum camera position (Fig. F). Remove the
cover and undo the screws according to Fig. G. Carefully remove the
cover to write on the nameplate. Connect the doorphone set according to
Fig. J. Install the outdoor monitor according to Fig. H and fi t the seal so
that the open end faces downwards. Install the indoor monitor according
to Fig. I.
Operation
Connect the E1 power pack plug to socket C6. The green LED A2 lights
up and the B5 nameplate on the outdoor monitor also lights up. The
device is now ready for use.
Use switch A4 on the indoor monitor to select the required bell tone
(1 to 3) or disable the bell tone (0 = OFF). If the bell tone is disabled,
the red LED A2 will light up. Use volume adjustment A5 to set the bell
tone volume independently of the general volume. The general volume
is preset.
If a visitor presses the ringer switch B5, the indoor monitor will ring. The
visitor can then be seen via the outside monitor by the person inside the
building. When using for the fi rst time, adjust the brightness and contrast
settings (A6/A7). Button A10 lights up when connection from the outdoor
to the indoor monitor is enabled. If no buttons are pressed, connection
will stop automatically after approx. 30 seconds. You can talk to the
visitor by pressing the talk button A11. Press the door open button A9 to
activate the (optional) door opener. Press button A10 or press talk button
A11 again to stop the connection. Connection also stops automatically
after approx. 60 seconds.
Outside monitoring
Press button A10 to monitor the outside area for 30 seconds.
