Measuring operation

Preparation
Search for an appropriately firm hanging site for the scale. The appliance must bear at least the
maximum mass of the item to be weighed.
Attach the scale with the snap hook (8) to the hanging appliance. Make sure that the snap hook
is securely closed and the scale is in a vertical position.
Place the S-hook (9) into the eye for the item to be weighed (1).
Press the „ON/OFF" button (4) to switch on the hanging scale. The scale is ready for use after
a short checkup. Avoid any occurrance of vibrations and loading to the measuring eyes during
this phase.
When the checkup is successfully completed, a circle is shown in the lower left corner indicating
stable measuring conditions as well as the measurement value „0.0". If this is not the case,
switch the scale off and on again. Make sure that the scale is in a vertical position and does not
dangle or swing.
To turn the device off, press the „ON/OFF" button and keep it depressed for approx. 3 seconds.
When the measuring range is exceeded, „O-Ld" is shown. In this case, remove
the item to be weighed immediately from the hanging scale, as it may be
damaged otherwise.
Selecting the weight unit
The hanging scale enables weighing in kilogrammes (kg) or imperial pounds (lb). Press the
„UNIT" button (3) when the scale is switched on. Each press switches the weight unit. The
selected unit is shown in a triangle on the right side of the display. The unit selected last remains
after switching the device off.
Weighing
Switch on the scale and wait until „0.0" is shown.
Hang the item to be weighed carefully without jerking the S-shaped weighing hook (9). Avoid
swinging movements and stop the item to be weighed from moving, if necessary.
Wait for approx. 5 seconds until the measuring value is constant. The measuring result is dis-
played.
To read the measuring value better, it can be frozen by pressing the „HOLD" button (2). When
the „HOLD" function is activated, „H" is shown in the display. Remove the item to be weighed
from the hook immediately after weighing. The measuring value is shown for approx. 10 s until
the „HOLD" button is pressed again or the scale is switched off.
To turn the device off, press the „ON/OFF" button and keep it depressed for approx. 3 seconds.
Weighing with weighing vessel (tara function)
To weigh liquids or bulk goods, weighing vessels can be used. To correct for the weight of the
weighing vessel during measuring, the tara function can be used. The total mass of the
weighing vessel and material to be weighed must not exceed 100 kg.
Switch on the scale and wait until „0.0" is shown.
Hang the empty weighing vessel on the weighing hook (9) and wait until the displayed value is
constant.
Then briefly press the "TARE" button (4). The displayed value is set to zero. Thus, the weight
of the weighing vessel in not included in the following measurement.
Remove the weighing vessel and fill with the material to be weighed.
Hang the filled vessel to the weighing hook (9). Dynamic measurements by filling up with
material is not allowed, as this leads to faulty measurement results.
3 seconds.
Automatic cut-off
The hanging scale is switched off automatically after 2 minutes, to preserve the batteries and
prolong the service life.
Press the „ON/OFF" button (4) to switch on the hanging scale again.
