Faults and troubleshooting
Problem
Possible causes
Fan does not run
Rotor imbalance
smoothly
Adhesions on the rotor
Material decomposition on the rotor
due to aggressive material conveyed
Wrong direction of rotation of rotor
Deformation of rotor due to exces-
sive temperature
Air output of fan
Wrong direction of rotation of rotor
too low
Excessive pressure losses in the lines
Flow regulators not or only partly
open
Intake or pressure ducts are blocked
Grinding sounds
Intake line is strained
when starting or
operating the fan
Fan does not reach
Defective motor winding
nominal speed
Incorrectly configured fan
Motor does not
Mechanical blockage
rotate
Faulty supply voltage
Faulty connection
Temperature monitor has responded
Electronics/motor
Insufficient cooling
overheated
Ambient temperature too high

Switch off, disconnect from the power
supply and remove the mechanical
blockage.
Check the supply voltage, re-establish the
voltage supply
Disconnect from the power supply, cor-
rect the connection, see circuit diagram.
Allow the motor to cool down, find and
resolve the cause of the fault, release the
reactivation lock if required.
Improve cooling.
Lower ambient temperature.
