avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left
from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3
times with fresh water, before rinsing.
OPERATION
•
Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.
•
Open the lid by pressing its release button and fill the tank with fresh water, paying
attention not to fill under the minimum mark and above the maximum mark on the water
level indicator. The lid is centralized. Fill the water tank preferably through the rear
opening. Close the lid by pressing it down until you hear a click. Make sure it closes
correctly.
•
Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on by pressing down
the switch on the handle (position „I").
•
The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled. However, you can
stop the jug kettle anytime pressing upwards its switch in position "0".
•
Should you take the jug kettle from its base when it is still turned on, the appliance will
remain switched on and will continue warming up automatically as soon as you put the
jug kettle on its base again.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

•
This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device which switches the appliance
off if it is accidentally switched on without water.
•
In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool.
Then fill the jug kettle with cold water. This will reset the safety device. The kettle may then
be used as normal.
•
Should the problem persist, contact the nearest customer service.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

•
Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from
the supply socket and fully cooled down.
•
To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Residues on the interior surfaces can be removed with a soft brush. Therefore, take off the
lid by lifting it when it is open.
•
Never use abrasive products.
•
On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water and do not
clean it under running water.
DESCALING
When scale becomes visible in the jug, you have to descale it. To remove scale from the jug
kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose, liquid descaling products or for
the sake of environmental protection you can use vinegar.
When descaling, please pay attention to the following points:
Copies of the I/B. Please reproduce them without any
changes except under special instruction from Team
International BELGIUM. The pages must be reproduced
and folded in order to obtain a booklet A5 (+/- 148.5 mm
width x 210 mm height). When folding, make sure you
keep the good numbering when you turn the pages of
the I/B. Don't change the page numbering. Keep the
language integrity.
