Intended use includes observance of the operating and
installation instructions and all other applicable docu-
ments, as well as adherence to the maintenance and
inspection conditions.
Caution.
Any improper use is forbidden.

General safety instructions

Always observe the following safety instructions and
regulations.
Installation and placement
The unit may only be installed and repaired by a recog-
nised expert technician company.
> Install the unit in bathrooms in such a way that per-
sons cannot touch switches, regulators and controls
while using the bath or shower (see VDE 0100).
Always observe the information about the installation
location.
> Do not install the heater underneath a wall socket.
Cables that are permanently laid must not be connected
to the heater.
Avoiding electric shocks
> Always remove the mains plug (with VER 75/4 -
200/4) or switch off the power supply (with VER
240/4) before carrying out electric installation work.
> Make sure that the mains supply cannot be switched
on again inadvertently.
Avoiding fires
The symbol to the left can be found on the
unit. It is intended to advise you that the
boiler must not be covered under any cir-
cumstances.
> The following safety information should
also be observed in this respect.
> The temperature of the housing can exceed 60°C.
Never cover the electronic room heater, not even for
a short time.
> Never mount the unit close to curtains or similar
objects.
Changes to the surroundings of the heating device
No changes may be made to the following objects:
– the heating unit
– the electrical supply line
– structural conditions that could affect the operational
reliability of the device

Directives, laws and standards

The recognised expert technician company must
observe, in particular, the local regulations, provisions,
rules and directives
– regarding the electrical connection,
– of the main power supplier and
– regarding energy conservation.
