When connecting protection class I devices (devices with contact protection plugs and/or PE connec-
tion) the inverter output must be earthed via the negative connection to the battery.
Note that in the 150 W, 300 W and 500 W devices that the housing (internally), the PE
connection and the earth clamp (12) are connected to the minus connection on the
battery. Under no circumstances should the charge carrying AC outlet be earthed.
No internal contact is present in the 1000 W or large models. Connect the "ground"
clamp (12) with the housing body of your vehicle.
Observe the valid standards and norms for this connection. If you have questions,
contact our technical support or a professional.

6. OPERATION

After connection to the battery, you may begin operating the inverter.
Attach an end device with appropriate nominal load to the outlet socket (6).
Switch the inverter on with the operating switch (1). Switch position "ON". If the connection is correct, the
power LED (7) is lit and indicates correct operation.
a) Safety Features
The inverter is equipped with extensive safety features, which ensure safe operation and protect the
inverter, the battery and the connected end device.

b) Protection Against Incorrect Polarity

If the polarity of the input is incorrect, a safety diode cuts the electric current and the inbuilt fuse is trig-
gered. The polarity must be corrected and the fuse must be exchanged for a new one of the same type.
The fuses of the 150/300/500W devices are accessible from the outside. The fuses of the 1000/2000W
devices are installed inside the device and may only be replaced by an expert.
c) Excess Voltage Cutout
The inverter switches off automatically as soon as the input voltage exceeds the admissible range (see
technical data). This cutout is indicated by the "OVP" LED (10) (Over-Voltage-Protection) in the 1000 W
and 2000 W models, the "FAULT" (11) indicator with alarm sound indicates the same in the 150/300 and
500 W models.
If this LED lights up, switch the inverter off and reduce the input voltage.
