The green POWER LED (6) lights. The red
PROTECT LED (5) goes out after expiry
of the switch-on delay. Should the red
PROTECT LED (5) light continuously,
then a fault is present. The amplifier
must be switched off immediately. In

the
Pressing on the upper end increases the
volume; pressing on the lower end
reduces it. The VOL indicator (30) in the
operating panel display changes accord-
ingly. This setting achieves the greatest
possible signal/noise ratio and the best
audio quality.
Note that the maximum volume depends
on the power capability of the loud-
speakers and of the Car Amplifier.
Too-high a volume can lead to damage
both to the loudspeakers and to the Car
Amplifier.
Overload can easily be heard through
the resultant distortion.
