Front loudspeakers
Connection to the amplifier outputs
The Car Amplifier has outputs for 4 loudspeakers (4-channel operation).
Two channels each can be operated in bridged mono mode, so that only two louds-
peakers are driven with an appreciably higher output power available.
In addition channels 3 and 4 can be switched via the built-in active crossover for
subwoofer operation. This is done with the operating mode switch CH 3,4 (1).In addi-
tion, a further preamplifier output is available for the control of an active subwoofer or
of a separate subwoofer amplifier.

Connection of the front loudspeakers to
loudspeaker connections

Wiring to the loudspeakers must always be carried out in two-
core cable. Insulate open connection points. Take care that none
of the cables can be damaged by sharp edges.
Use only loudspeakers which have adequate power-handling
capability (see 'Technical data').
Make sure that all loudspeakers are wired with the correct polari-
ty, i.e. positive and negative markings agree!
Normally, loudspeaker connecting cables are coded: some louds-
peaker manufacturers indicate the '+' wire with an additional
colour stripe, others on the other hand use a corrugated wire for
the '+' wire and a contrasting smooth wire for the '-' wire.
The amplifier has been developed for operation with loudspeaker
impedances of at least 2 Ohm (stereo mode) or 4 Ohm (bridged
mono mode). In no case connect loudspeakers of lower impedance.

reproduce only the bass range.
