NORM PLAN MODE
TUSA strongly recommends that you review the Plan Mode prior to every NORM dive to help you plan
your dive as required to avoid exceeding no decompression or oxygen exposure limits. This is especially
important for repetitive dives when the Plan Mode indicates adjusted dive times that are available for the next dive, based on
residual nitrogen or oxygen accumulation (whichever is in control) following the last dive and surface interval.
NOTE: No Decompression Dive Times in Plan Mode are based on the FO2 setting for Gas 1. The FO2
setting for Gas 2 is not utilized for Plan calculations.
When the Conservative Factor is set ON, No Decompression Dive times are reduced to the values of the next 3000 foot
(915 meter) higher Altitude.
The sequence will only be displayed up to the Max Depth that will allow theoretical No Deco Dive Time of at least 1 minute
based upon the previous dive profiles in a series of repetitive dives and taking into account descent and ascent rates of 60
FPM (18 MPM).
• S (< 2 sec), while the NORM Surface Main - to access the Plan Lead-in screen.
• M (2 sec), at any time while in Plan - to revert to the Surface Main.
• Revert to the Surface Main after 2 minutes, if no button is pressed.
Plan Lead-in, information includes (Fig. 45A/B):
> Graphic PLN (Plan) with wave/clock/profile icons.
> PO2 Alarm value set for Gas 1 with graphic PO2, if Nitrox; or blank if FO2 is set for Air.
> Tank (Gas) 1 icon.
> FO2 set for Gas 1, Air or 21 to 100(%).
• S (< 2 sec) - to access the first Plan Depth/Time screen 30 FT (9 M).
• A (< 2 sec) - to access Time to Fly.
• A (2 sec) - to step back to the NORM Surface Main screen.
Plan Depth/Time, information includes (Fig. 46A/B):
> NiBG (4 No Deco segments, Fig. 46a), or O2 icon (Fig. 46b) indicating whether nitrogen or oxygen is in control of
calculations based on previous dives.
> Dive Time (hr:min) allowed for the Depth displayed, with wave/clock/profile icon.
> Max Depth allowed for the PO2 Alarm value set for Gas 1, with MAX and FT (or M) icons and graphic - PO2.
> Tank 1 icon indicating Gas (mix) 1.
> Plan Depth with FT (or M) icon.
• A (2 sec), at any time - to step back to the Plan lead-in screen.
• S (press/hold) - to scroll upward through the Plan Depth/Time screens 8/sec from 30 FT up to 190 FT (9 M to 57 M) in
increments of 10 FT (3 M).
• S (< 2 sec) - to step upward through the screens one at a time.
• M (< 2 sec) - to step back (down) through the screens one at a time.
FLY MODE
Time to Fly is a counter that begins counting down 10 minutes after surfacing from a dive from 23:50 to 0:00 (hr:min).
Ten minutes after a dive, operation reverts to the Watch Default Time screen at which time the Time to Fly countdown continues in
the background. Access to the Fly screen is then gained by first accessing the NORM (or GAUG) Surface Main.
NORM Mode >> A (< 2 sec), while viewing the Plan Lead-in - to access Fly.
GAUG Mode >> S (< 2 sec), while viewing the Surface Main - to access Fly.
Time to Fly, information includes (Fig. 47):
> Graphic FLY.
> Countdown Time (hr:min) with clock icon.
• A (< 2 sec) - to access Desat Time if in NORM.
• A (2 sec) - to step back to the Plan Lead-in if in NORM, or revert to Surface Main if in GAUG.
• M (2 sec) - to revert to the Surface Main.
• Revert to the Surface Main after 2 minutes, if no button is pressed.
• L (press) - to activate the Backlight.
