SET CONSERVATIVE FACTOR, information includes (Fig. 41):
> Graphic CF (Conservative Factor) with wave/clock/profile icon.
> Graphic OFF (or ON), flashing.
• S or M (< 2 sec) - to toggle between OFF and ON.
• A (< 2 sec) - to save the setting and access Set Backlight Duration.
• A (2 sec) - to step back to the Set Safety Stop screen, without changing the setting.
• A & S (2 sec) - to revert to the SET U screen.
• M (2 sec) - to revert to the Surface Main.
• Revert to the Surface Main after 2 minutes, if no button is pressed.
When the Conservative Factor is set ON, the No Deco Limits are reduced to those that would be available at the next higher
3000 foot (915 meter) Altitude.
SET BACKLIGHT DURATION, information includes (Fig. 42):
> Graphics BL (Backlight), dur (duration), and SEC (seconds).
> Time digits (seconds), flashing, with clock icon.
• S (< 2 sec) - to step forward (up) through the set points of 0, 5, and 10 (sec) one at a time.
• M (< 2 sec) - to step back (down) through the set points one at a time.
• A (< 2 sec) - to save the setting and access Set Sampling Rate.
• A (2 sec) - to step back to the Set Conservative Factor screen, without changing the setting.
• A & S (2 sec) - to revert to the SET U screen.
• M (2 sec) - to revert to the Surface Main.
• Revert to the Surface Main after 2 minutes, if no button is pressed.
This is the time interval that the Backlight will remain On after the L button that activates it is released.
SET SAMPLING RATE, information includes (Fig. 43):
> Graphics SR (Sampling Rate) and SEC (seconds).
> Time digits (seconds), flashing, with clock icon.
• S (< 2 sec) - to step forward (up) through the set points of 2, 15, 30, and 60 (sec) one at a time.
• M (< 2 sec) - to step back (down) through the set points one at a time.
• A (< 2 sec) - to save the setting and revert to the SET U screen.
• A (2 sec) - to step back to the Set Backlight Duration screen, without changing the setting.
• A & S (2 sec) - to revert to the SET U screen.
• M (2 sec) - to revert to the Surface Main.
• Revert to the Surface Main after 2 minutes, if no button is pressed.
This is the frequency at which samples of data are recorded for download to the PC/Mac programs.
SERIAL NUMBER (SN), information includes (Fig. 44):
• A & S (2 sec), while viewing the SET U screen - to access the SN screen.
> Graphic SN (Serial Number).
> Factory programmed Serial Number (up to 6 digits).
> Firmware (operating software) revision (e.g., graphic r1A).
• A & S (2 sec) - to access the Surface Main.
• M (2 sec) - to revert to the Surface Main.
• Revert to the Surface Main after 2 minutes, if no button is pressed.
The Serial Number and Firmware Revision will be requested in the event that you contact TUSA regarding the Talis. Enter them
in the records section provided in the back of this manual.
