5.1.10 Security function

(not for BM 15 Touch)
Due to the measuring speed over 100 rpm a wheel
guard is compulsory for the balancers. The security
switch ensures that a balancing run can only start when
the wheel guard is closed.
If the safety device is switched off by the user, the ma-
nufacturer will take no responsibility for any resulting da-
mage or injury occurring there of.
ON:
The balance run can be started only when the wheel
guard is closed. Is the wheel guard opened during the
measuring run the wheel is braked immediately.
For safety reason, this function should not
be deactivated!
OFF:
The balance run can be started only when the wheel
guard is closed. If the hood is opened during the measu-
ring run the motor is switched off and the wheel runs free.
This function is useful to view the run out of the wheel.
As soon as the hood is closed again the measurement
run will start again from the beginning.

The wheel guard switch is out of function.
Please check your national regulations and
laws before deactivating the safety func-
tion!

5.1.11 Autostart

(not for BM 15 Touch)
The auto run function enables a measuring run to be
started by closing the wheel guard.
Is the function set to OFF the measuring run is started by
touch START after the wheel guard has been closed.

5.1.12 Factory settings

This function will enable all original factory settings for
parameters on the machine to be retrieved.

5.1.13 Attaching adhesive wheel weights with the
inner gauge arm
(see also chapter 4.7)
The way how adhesive wheel weights are attached to
the rim is set via this function.
OFF:
Adhesive wheel weights are attached manually by
hand.
ON:
Adhesive wheel weights are attached with the gauge
arm (only possible in balancing programs ALU 2 and ALU
3).

5.1.14 Setting the brake

(not for BM 15 Touch)
The correction plane in which the wheel is braked after
the measuring run can be set individually.

-->: Brake active for right correction plane
---: Brake switched off
