Safety notices

Please note the listed safety instructions are for your own
safety and for the safety of your customers. The safety
instructions will explain to you the possible dangers. At
the same time, they contain notices on how you can
prevent dangers from occurring by using the equipment
properly.

The safety instructions are also contained in the opera-
ting instructions. They are characterized by the following
symbols:

Safety notices for the operating staff

i Please read and understand the accident preventi-
on regulations!
i When the wheel balancer is not used, switch off the
power supply via the main switch. Secure the main
switch against unauthorized use.
i Do not leave any wheels on the wheel balancer for
a prolonged period of time.
i Working with the electrical system may only be exe-
cuted by trained electricians.
! The wheel guard should always be closed during
the balancing process.
When switching on the wheel balancer,
wheels and other objects must not be
mounted on the main shaft.
When operating the wheel balancer with an
open cover, other people should not be wi-
thin the machine range!
Danger of life can exist for people around
the wheel area.
The operational display of the wheel balan-
cer is shown on the monitor. In order to en-
sure that the operating state (On/Off) can
be detected at any time; one must ensure
under all circumstances that the monitor is
visible at all times.

The operating staff must wear working clo-
thes without loose strips and loops. This also
includes the work shoes without shoe laces.
Loose strips and shoe laces could get into
the wheel balancer and could endanger
the operator.
The wheel must be mounted to the wheel
balancer with the corresponding clamping
means.
The wheel balancer must be unplugged
from the main electricity supply before
maintenance work is executed.

The electric system must be protected
against humidity and moisture.
Danger of electric shocks!
Do not carry out any set-up work while the
inspection is being executed.

Further notes

i Please take care during clamping that the wheel is
clamped centric. This has an direct influence on the
quality of the imbalance measurement.
i Clamp the wheel with upmost care. Take care that
the contact surface of the rim is clean and that is
does touch the flange completely. Make sure that
the quick nut is fixed tight.
i If the wheel is not clamped properly it will tumble
and the imbalance measurement will not be cor-
rect.
! The wheel balancer must only be operated with of-
ficial accessories.
! When servicing the wheel balancer only original
spare parts must be used. Those are manufactured
at a high quality level and make sure that the wheel
balancer is working reliable
Safety devices need to be checked on a
regular basis. The legal regulations are to
be considered.
The wheel balancer must not be operated
with defect safety devices.
