8.10. KEY TONE ON/OFF

Standard the Butler 100 is set to sound a beep each time you push a button. This can
be deactivated as follows:

8.11. CLOCK

The display of the handset is provided with a clock. You can set this clock as follows:

On the handset the time now appears in hours-minutes-seconds.

8.12. 15 MINUTES CONVERSATION TIMER

To avoid that you would forget to end a conversation or that you accidentally press
the line button without having a conversation, you have the possibility to activate a
15 minutes conversation timer. This warns you after 15 minutes of conversation by
means of 10 beeps. To continue your conversation and to avoid the connection from
being broken automatically, press a numerical button (0-9) as soon as you hear the
first beeps.
To activate this function, proceed as follows:

This function can also be deactivated again in the following way:

8.13. SETTING PAUSE TIME

If your Butler 100 is connected to a house telephone exchange, we advise you to pro-
gram a pause in the memory numbers after asking access to the external line (see
8.7.1. Storing memory numbers).

8.14. SETTING RINGER VOLUME

The ringer volume of the base station can be set by means of a ringer volume switch
on the right side of the base station. This switch allows you to turn off the ringer
volume completely (position I) or to set the volume (position II= silent, position III=
l o u d ) .
