From a safety point of view, industrial
vacuum cleaners with protection
against dust explosions are not suitable
for sucking in hazardous substances
that are explosive by nature, fluids and
mixtures of combustible dust with fluids
according to Section 1 of the Explosives
Act.
Please follow the safety regulations ap-
plicable to the materials to be sucked in.
During proper/ improper use, the parts
(such as exhaust opening) of the indus-
trial vacuum cleaner can tolerate a
maximum of 95 °C.
In Emergency
In case of emergency (while sucking in
combustible materials, when there is a
short-circuit or some other electrical de-
fect), switch off the appliance and remove
the plug from the socket.
Put the unit into its working position, se-
curing it with the parking brake if neces-
sary.
Insert the suction hose into the suction
hose connection and lock it in place by
turning it in a clockwise direction.
Attach the desired accessories and turn
them clockwise.
Note
Additional regulations can be applicable to
dusts with an ignition capacity below 1mJ.
Dry vacuum cleaning
Please note the following when switch-
ing from wet to dry vacuum cleaning:

Start up
Suction of normal- rough dirt can be un-
dertaken without any problem with the
integrated cartridge filter.
Change the filter, if required, according
to instructions under the section "Main-
tenance and Care".
Wet vacuum cleaning
Remove the filter bag for wet suction.
The cartridge filter must remain in-
stalled in the machine.
Completely empty the container after
finishing use.
A rough filter should be installed (Order No.
5.731-025.0) if liquid is to be sucked in con-
tinuously.
Note
If the container is full, a float closes the suc-
tion opening, and the suction turbine works
at a higher speed. Switch off the appliance
immediately, and empty the container.
Turning on the Appliance
Insert the appliance plug into the mains
socket. Do not use extension cables.
Switch on the appliance using the On/
Off switch (Position 1).
Automatic monitoring of suction ca-
The machine is equipped with a suction
power monitor. The control lamp lights up if
the air speed in the suction hose falls below
20 m/s.
Switch off the vacuum unit, replace full
filter bag with an empty one.
Check suction hose and attachments
for blocks.
The cartridge filter must also be re-
placed if the machine is used for long
periods.
