Temporarily mount the scale into position using 10 to 12 M6 × 14 screws. Allow the scale to
stand undisturbed for approximately 30 minutes to allow the temperature to stabilize. After
this time has elapsed, tighten the screws to secure the scale to faces A and B.

To mount the head carrier, move the machine so that the carrier mount bracket
(corresponding to face C) is in position under the head carrier. The standard clearance
between the head carrier and the bracket is 1.5 mm/0.059". To obrain the required clearance,
insert two spacers (0.5 mm/0.020" plus x-mm). Then, secure the spacers in place with two
M6 × 14 screws.

Remove the jig block by removing 4 ea M4 jig block mount screws.

Drill the ø4.5 knock-pin hole on the foot plate and head carrier out to ø5 and drive the 5 × 12
knock-pin into the hole.
