4-2-1. One-direction origin method

When detecting the origin in the case of qw,
the origin mark and origin signal match.
When detecting the origin in the opposite
direction to qw, the origin mark and origin
signal do not match, so do not carry this out.
When detecting the origin in the case of er,
the origin mark and origin signal match.
When detecting the origin in the opposite
direction to er, the origin mark and origin
signal do not match, so do not carry this out.

The scale is equipped with an origin mechanism that is compatible with both the one-direction
origin detection and two-direction origin detection methods, determined by the detector's origin
detection method.

With one-direction detection, the origin position varies depending upon the direction that the head
carrier moves. Thus, the scale's origin mark and origin signal only match for movement in one
direction. The direction where they match, for standard specifications, is qw given below, or
er for reverse specifications.
(1) Standard specification
q When moving the scale itself with the head carrier secured, it is the direction where the origin
mark passes the head carrier's center from the left.
w When the scale itself is secured and the head carrier moves, it is the direction where the head
carrier's center passes the origin mark from the right.
(2) Reverse specification
e When moving the scale itself with the head carrier secured, it is the direction where the origin
mark passes the head carrier's center from the right.
r When the scale itself is secured and the head carrier moves, it is the direction where the head
carrier's center passes the origin mark from the left.
