Move the holder knobs to their respective ends, right and left. Loosen the side cover set
screws at both ends insert the notched tab of the holder knob under the screw heads. To
secure the knobs into position, tighten the screws.

This completes scale mounting and adjustment.
To align the scale and head carrier, align the ø5 holes on the scale head carrier with the jig
block holes by using the ø5 alignment pin. Secure the jig block in place with M4 screws.
By following this procedure the scale can be easily realigned after it has been removed from
one machine and mounted on another.
After the mounting, adjustment, and alignment operations are completed, retain the jig block
mount screws, and the alignment pin for future use.
Resecuring the head:
q Temporarily position the scale and head carrier with the jig block.
w Align the scale with the alignment pin and secure it with 2 ea M4 × 6 screws.
e Align the head carrier with the alignment pin in the same manner and secure with 2 ea
M4 × 25 screws.

Before connecting of disconnecting the cable unit from the scale, make sure that the digital
counter power switch is OFF.
