Fault

AL" flashes and

The temperature
in the cool fresh
compartment is too
cold or too warm.
The interior light
is not functioning.

Possible cause
Fault - the Variofreezer com
partment is too warm! Frozen
food is at risk!
S Freezer compartment door
is open.
S Too much food was placed
in the freezer compartment
at once.
The fixed setting has been set
too high or too low (e.g. if there
is frost in the cool fresh com
partment).
Light switch is sticking. Fig. t/A Check whether it can be moved.
The bulb is defective.
The condensation outlet is
blocked.
Remedial action
"AL" flashes on the display 5 and "alarm"
is displayed.
The warmest temperature reached in the
Variofreezer compartment is indicated on
the display for 10 seconds. Fig. 2/5
Note: Frozen food which has started
thawing or which has thawed can be
refrozen if meat and fish were above
+3 °C for not more than one day or other
frozen food was above +3 °C for not more
than three days.
If taste, odour and appearance remain
unchanged, the food can be boiled or fried
and then refrozen.
No longer store the frozen produce for the
max. storage period.
The temperature in the cool fresh
compartment can be corrected. Fig. 2
Simultaneously press buttons 1 and  "
for 2 seconds until display 3 is activated.
After twenty seconds the set temperature
is stored.
Change the bulb. Fig t/B
1. Pull out the mains plug or disconnect
the fuse.
2. Slide cover grille forwards and
remove.
3. Change the bulb
(replacement bulb, 220 240 V a.c.,
E14 lampholder, see defective bulb for
wattage).
Clean the condensation channel and
the outlet see Cleaning the appliance.
