Input selectors
Use (DOLBY), STEREO or
process.
(DOLBY): Choose this setting for Dolby Surround audio, e.g. films. Both the Dolby Pro-
Logic and Toltec processors are active.
STEREO: If you press STEREO, only the Toltec processor is active. It creates two virtual
loudspeakers in front of you (stereo arrangement).
MONO: Here, also, only the Toltec processor is active, it creates one virtual mono
loudpeaker in front of you.

Matching the Toltec processor to your ears

The ears and pinna, head, and upper part of the body of every human being are different.
Their different shape directly influences the way in which we hear sounds coming from
different directions. With the
ears. DSPpro has 15 pre-programmed ear types, one of these will come very close to
matching your ears.
It is essential for creating realistic 3D sound that you match DSPpro to your ears.
1) Set the volume to a low level (LED 2, 3, or 4 on the LED arc).
2) Press the button with the ear symbol to get into the matching mode. Now choose an ear
type with the large EARS
3) Test the chosen ear type with the "*" button. Pressing this button produces a short
hissing test signal.
4) Use the EARS control to try out each ear type and press "*" for a test signal. (If you press
and hold down EARS , a test signal is produced automatically, then DSPpro switches to
the next ear type.)
