1. Application, scope of delivery,

Read all information!
These instructions are intended for the machine
operator. Take good care of it!
The brisket saw must only be operated:
in good order and condition, as intended, and
with knowledge of safety and risks
with all safety equipment installed
according to the safety instructions
after the operating personnel have read and
understood these instructions, especially Sec. 2.
and Sec. 3.
Only in this way can operating errors be avoided and
hazardous situations be correctly judged.
Never reach into the area of the
sawblade. Otherwise your limbs
could be cut off!

1.1 Symbols in these instructions
Danger symbol:
Extreme caution and discretion is
necessary here. Incorrect conduct can
lead to direct risk of injury for the
operating personnel or third parties. In
addition, the machine can be
damaged.

1.2 Intended use

1.2.1 Area of use
The brisket saw is used for opening breastbones in
on-the-rail operation.
The machine is not equipped for another use. If
some other use is requested from the user, please
absolutely contact Schmid & Wezel GmbH & Co.

For all other applications, there must be warnings of
accidental danger or increased wear. The user alone
is liable for noncompliance.
1.2.2 Residual risks
The brisket saw is intended for industrial use on
animal carcasses. There is risk of injury. Fatal
injuries are possible with extreme misuse, that
means that with abusive handling, the possibility of
direct death or bleeding to death can be expected.
For this reason, always pay attention to proper
handling of the machine.

of supply, as well as for accessories, are located in
Appendix A.3 "List of spare and wear parts" (P. 12).
2. Safety instructions

2.1 General safety instructions

Absolutely observe the following safety
measures when using the brisket saw.
Changing the sawblade and all installation,
service and repair work must only be performed
when the machine is disconnected from power!
Select personal protective clothing
corresponding to the company specifications
and valid safety guidelines.
For operation it is assumed that the operating
personnel have sufficient knowledge in handling
brisket saws.
Training will be done by our specialists
Installation, service and repair work must only
be performed by authorized, trained technicians
