b) Setting up a Master Slave Chain

The effect light can be operated controlled by a DMX controller or in a master-slave chain. In that case, the integrated
controller of the master device controls the connected DL-LED107S-UV spotlight.
You can operate a maximum of 28 DL-LED107S-UV spotlights in a DMX chain without overloading
the controller.
The maximum total length of the DMX chain should not exceed 100 m. To avoid possible interfering
influences, the DMX chain should be kept as short as possible.
• Connect the DMX OUT port of the master device to the DMX IN port of the first slave device.
• Connect the DMX OUT port of the first slave device to the DMX IN port of the subsequent DL-LED107S-UV spot-
light.
• Proceed as described above with all remaining slave devices.
• Plug an XLR plug with a terminating resistor into the DMX OUT connection of the last slave device (as described in
section "Connection of a DMX Controller").

9. Mains connection

The mains socket to which the effect light is connected must be close to the device and easily ac-
cessible to quickly separate the device from the mains voltage in case of an error.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause poten-
tially fatal electric shock.
When connecting, ensure that the connection cable cannot be crushed or damaged by sharp edges.
Before plugging in the mains plug, ensure that the device voltage indicated at the effect light cor-
responds to the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the indication does not cor-
respond to the available mains voltage. Incorrect supply voltage may lead to irreparable damage to
the device and danger to the user.
• Connect the low-voltage connector of the mains cable to the IEC mains socket of the device.
• Plug the mains plug of the mains line into a grounded socket.
• Once the device is connected to the mains socket, it takes up operation.
The mains input socket POWER INPUT and the mains output socket POWER OUTPUT (IEC) can
be used to connect up to 10 DL-LED107S-UV spotlights in series. Only DL-LED107S-UV spotlights
must be connected in series.
