How should the smoke detectors be correctly assembled?

Fire smoke must be able to reach your smoke detectors unhin-
dered. Please observe this especially when making structural
alterations and installations in your apartment. According to
Standard DIN 14676, the smoke detectors must be located at
least 60 cm away from items of furniture. In case of ceiling-high
furniture, each section of the room should be equipped with a
smoke detector.
If it becomes necessary to change the installation location, please refer
to your landlord or his property management.

technician will stipulate the assembly
location in accordance with the valid
regulations. Please neither disas-
semble nor move the smoke detector
of your own accord. The distance
